Landscaping Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Royal Star Enterprises Inc. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of landscaping projects.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to complete projects efficiently.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive plans for grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and other tasks.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct thorough assessments to determine the necessary resources required for each project, ensuring accurate estimates and efficient use of materials.
- Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate with contractors and staff to ensure seamless execution of landscape construction projects.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately document all work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring fair prices and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure necessary materials and equipment to support grounds maintenance operations.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Identify and address any issues that may arise during projects, providing expert guidance to staff and contractors.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as horticulture, landscape architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, with a strong background in grounds maintenance and landscaping.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, with a strong emphasis on physical stamina and attention to detail.
