Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Engineer, reporting directly to the Director of Construction and Engineering, you will be instrumental in steering multi-disciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction efforts to support the revitalization of the Eskay Creek project.
As the project progresses through Detailed Engineering, your focus will shift towards both on-site and off-site infrastructure initiatives that facilitate the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) of the new Process Plant and associated facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide engineering advancements with a comprehensive multi-disciplinary knowledge base towards achieving Skeena's common objectives.
- Oversee the Procurement and Contract Management processes to ensure they meet established expectations.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with environmental teams to guarantee that water management practices comply with environmental regulations and best practices, thereby minimizing the project's ecological footprint.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or Mining) or an equivalent qualification.
- Have a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) or a comparable combination of experience.
- Mining experience is preferred, particularly in a New Build Construction context.
- Demonstrate strong computer proficiency, particularly with the MS Office suite.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management capabilities.
- This role requires a blend of presence at the corporate office and the project site.
- Willingness to travel to various work locations or events outside of standard office hours is essential, as well as the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
