Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our specimen collection process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, explaining the specimen collection process and ensuring they have followed necessary test protocol.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings as required.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, test results, and specimen collection data.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience and proficiency in specimen collection techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in data entry software.
