The Laboratory Technician plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As a member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy and electrocardiogram services, as well as other laboratory technical and non-technical functions under supervision.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform phlebotomy and electrocardiogram services with precision and accuracy
  • Conduct laboratory tests and procedures as required
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

**Requirements:**

  • Certificate from the Ontario Society of Medical Technologists (OSMT)
  • Graduate of a Laboratory Technician training program
  • Minimum of 1 year or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in performing phlebotomy and ECGs
  • Previous hospital experience an asset
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families
