The Equipment Operator plays a pivotal role in achieving excellence in construction operations. This position is responsible for executing tasks with safety and efficiency while maintaining a strong commitment to quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in hoisting and rigging operations.
  • Proficient understanding of various equipment.
  • Training in Ground Disturbances.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic machinery.

Essential Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of civil construction practices.
  • Capability to coach and guide apprentices.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and clients.
  • Understanding of trenching requirements and safety protocols.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license; Class 3 with air endorsement is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Duties

  • Promote and uphold core corporate values.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members.

Operational Duties

  • Identify and communicate potential changes in project scope to the Foreman.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of all team members.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Familiarize with project schedules and milestones.
  • Provide after-hours support to crews as necessary.
  • Coordinate daily work scope with the Foreman.
  • Manage daily equipment requirements.
  • Oversee routine maintenance of equipment and report any issues to the Foreman.

Employment Requirements

  • Mandatory D&A testing and background checks are required for this position.
