Off-Road Heavy Equipment Mechanic Job

We are seeking a skilled Off-Road Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Headwater Equipment Calgary. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of off-road heavy equipment, including bulldozers, graders, and excavators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements, to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with off-road heavy equipment, including diesel engines and hydraulic systems
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, determine extent of repair required, adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Instruct apprentices and assist in training new technicians
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repair work, and inventory management
Requirements:
  • Journeyman or Red Seal certification in Heavy Equipment Repair (off-road)
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working on heavy duty off-road equipment
  • Valid driver's license and abstract required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
