About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director of Project Management Office Services to join our team in Toronto, Canada. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of large-scale aviation infrastructure projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deputize for the PMO Services Director and lead the delivery of PMO services functions, including QAQC, logistics, safety, security, and permitting.
- Provide direction and leadership to leads and managers within the PMO services function, ensuring effective team performance.
- Participate in management and executive reporting and decision-making forums, advising on QAQC, logistics, safety, security, and permitting aspects.
- Support the delivery team with subject matter expertise and advice on QAQC, logistics, safety, security, and permitting matters.
- Assure the completeness and effectiveness of program QAQC, logistics, safety, security, and permitting management plans.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programs in the aviation sector.
- Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
- Experience working in the aviation infrastructure sector.
- Experience in a director level position.
- Previous experience working with the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority) or equivalent.
- Industry qualification or chartership e.g. PgMP, PMI, CMI, DBIA.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or applicable field.
