Job Summary

The City of Toronto is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of strategic partnerships and business initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, business development, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business plans and strategies to achieve project objectives
  • Manage and coordinate project teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, external partners, and community groups
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams to ensure effective project management and delivery
  • Collaborate with other City divisions and external partners to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including financial and performance metrics
  • Provide recommendations to senior management on project direction and resource allocation

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business administration or a related field
  • Significant experience in project management, business development, and strategic planning
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions
  • Knowledge of the City of Toronto's operational policies and procedures
