Academic Position in Forensic Analytical Toxicology

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a tenure stream position in the area of Forensic Analytical Toxicology as part of the Forensic Science Program at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the Forensic Science Program and to teach undergraduate courses in the field of Forensic Analytical Toxicology. The candidate will also be expected to maintain an active research program and to secure external funding to support their research.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in Forensic Analytical Toxicology
- Contribute to the development of the Forensic Science Program
- Maintain an active research program and secure external funding
- Participate in departmental and university service
The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in Chemistry or Toxicology, with an emphasis on bench-based analytical chemistry, forensic toxicology or a related area. They will also have a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching, as well as experience working in a forensic laboratory or as an independent forensic consultant.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a forensic laboratory or as an independent forensic consultant, or equivalent. Knowledge of Quality Assurance protocols and accreditation processes for forensic labs.
