Forensic Analytical Toxicology Professor

About the Position:
The University of Toronto's Forensic Science Program is seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor to join our team. As a leading institution in forensic science education and research, we are committed to providing students with a comprehensive understanding of scientific analyses, theories, laboratory skills, applications, and field techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate courses in forensic analytical toxicology, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and development of online material/lectures.
- Conduct innovative and independent research in forensic analytical toxicology, with a focus on bench-based analytical chemistry, forensic toxicology, or a related area.
- Develop and maintain an externally-funded research program, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and accreditation processes for forensic labs.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the University of Toronto to advance the field of forensic science and promote diversity and inclusion in the curriculum and discipline.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in Chemistry or Toxicology, with an emphasis on bench-based analytical chemistry, forensic toxicology, or a related area.
- Established international reputation in forensic analytical toxicology, with a proven track record of research and teaching excellence.
- Experience working in a forensic laboratory, as an independent forensic consultant, or equivalent.
- Strong teaching and research skills, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
