Job Summary:

The Cove Guest Home is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Resident Care Specialist. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver resident care activities and assigned nursing procedures in accordance with Cove Guest Home policies and procedures.
  • Administer medications as per Cove Policy/Protocol.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document and report resident care activities and progress in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Participate in mentoring and supervising junior staff members to promote professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to enhance resident care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful environment for residents, families, and staff.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with Nova Scotia College of Nurses (NSCN).
  • Certification in Level "C" CPR/First Aid.
  • Completed two-year diploma as a licensed practical nurse from an accredited college.
