Our Neuron SDK is a cutting-edge tool that optimizes the performance of complex neural net models executed on AWS Inferentia and Trainium, our custom chips designed for deep-learning acceleration.

About the Role

We're seeking a talented compiler engineer to join our Neuron team. As a compiler engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting the development of a compiler targeting AWS Inferentia and Trainium. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge product where you'll implement business-critical features and be mentored by a brilliant team of experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Neuron compiler, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Neuron team to design and implement new features and improvements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate the Neuron SDK with various machine learning frameworks.

Requirements

  • Experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C#.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong interests and academic qualifications in areas such as code generation, compute graph optimization, resource scheduling, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Available for a 3-month internship starting January 2025.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous technical internship(s) or research experience.
  • Knowledge of code generation, compute graph optimization, and resource scheduling.
  • Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
