Job Overview

As a Food Service Supervisor at Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining services. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Schedule Management: Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules.
  • Staff Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the activities of team members involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Training: Educate staff on their job responsibilities, as well as sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that food and service adhere to established quality control standards.
  • Budgeting: Prepare financial plans and cost estimates for operations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on operational performance.
  • Order Management: Compile food order summaries for the kitchen staff.
  • Tray Assembly Supervision: Oversee the assembly of food trays.
  • Delivery Oversight: Supervise the delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely service.
  • Schedule Establishment: Create and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Role

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 individuals, including:

  • Food and beverage servers
  • Food service counter attendants
  • Food preparers
Work Environment

This position is set in a fast-paced environment where you will be required to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Physical activity, including walking, is an essential part of the job.

Qualifications
  • Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
