About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Northern Health Authority team as an Administrative Assistant, Employee Experience & Organizational Development. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Employee Experience & Organizational Development portfolio, working closely with the Regional Director to ensure the smooth operation of various people development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the creation and maintenance of business processes for people development programs
  • Update internal and external communications channels with current program information
  • Respond to program inquiries, register and track program participants, and track program expenditures
  • Facilitate the preparation and distribution of program applications and learning materials
  • Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling meetings, teleconferences, and virtual conferences
  • Support the development of centrally coordinated development programs and other business processes
  • Track program data and identify opportunities for improvement
Requirements
  • Grade 12 with completion of a one-year recognized business/secretarial certificate
  • Three to five years of recent related experience in a similar position, or one that reflects discrete aspects of the role, education
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience and knowledge of the post-secondary system an asset
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to exercise initiative and work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to plan and organize work and prioritize multiple competing activities concurrently
  • Ability to problem solve and identify solutions to issues

  • Ability and willingness to travel
