Job Summary

The Head of Business Development and Client Success is responsible for driving business growth and client success at D2L. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and execute plans to exceed pipeline generation goals, close enterprise deals, and lead implementation adoption for new and current clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of sales executives and business development representatives to achieve sales targets and grow new corporate clients
  • Develop and implement plans to exceed pipeline generation goals and close enterprise deals in the learning upskilling space
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, educational partners, and product, to ensure positive engagement with clients
  • Manage client relationships and develop account plans to drive adoption and usage of the Wave platform
  • Recruit, develop, and coach team members to be domain-level experts in consultative sales
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase lead conversion rates and drive revenue growth
Requirements
  • 10+ years of business development or equivalent experience with 5+ years of progressive leadership roles in enterprise-level sales in the corporate learning space
  • Direct evidence of closing large enterprise-wide deals in short timeframes
  • Experience running BDR teams and managing clients in the field of education and training
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape and customer needs in the corporate learning and development market
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting data and analytics
