About the Role

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Use Clinician to join our Mental Health and Substance Use Services team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for clients with complex mental health and substance use needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including group therapy and case management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and service navigation
  • Provide education and support to clients and families on mental health and substance use issues, recovery processes, and relapse prevention strategies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and service providers to ensure access to comprehensive care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and policies
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work
  • Two years of recent experience working with clients and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approaches
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations, and policies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related software applications
