Job Summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Global Legal Counsel, Technology to join our growing in-house legal team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal services to support our Intelligence global business area, including contract negotiation, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice to the Intelligence Legal Director, management team, and senior leaders worldwide on complex projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement protocols to identify and manage routine project risks within the Intelligence business area.
  • Coordinate the efforts of outside counsel on a case-by-case basis as required.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies and processes to improve efficiency and risk management.
  • Collaborate across the Legal, Compliance, and Privacy departments for the professional growth and development of the legal team.
  • Develop and implement role-related training programs for the Intelligence global business area.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities requiring general legal advice as required by the business.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree-qualified with a J.D. or LL.B. and at least four years of post-qualification experience, preferably in-house or from a top law firm.
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario or an equivalent body.
  • Demonstrates experience conducting legal research on public contracting laws, with experience negotiating and drafting complex agreements in a professional services sector and managing risk for related projects.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders across a complex matrix-structured organization, and demonstrates being client-focused, proactive, and adaptable to business and client needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • International experience is desired, but not essential.
