About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our department. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with our team members, patients, and families.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about providing exceptional administrative support. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Grade XII plus completion of a one-year post-secondary secretarial or related program
  • Minimum 3 years of providing administrative support and office coordination, preferably within healthcare
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams etc.)
  • 45 to 55 WPM with accuracy
Hours

This is a permanent, full-time position with 70 hours bi-weekly. Shifts include days, nights, and weekends.Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $28.24 - $31.15 hourly, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
