About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumbing Foreman to join our team at Enersolv Design & Build Ltd. As a key member of our plumbing department, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our commercial and multi-unit residential plumbing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a team of plumbing apprentices to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Liaise with project managers, site superintendents, and operations directors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage the installation of commercial plumbing and hydronics systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Maintain project schedules and understand methods and be accountable for their implementation.
  • Stay up-to-date with all current health and safety practices and procedures, promoting a safe system of work for all team members.
  • Implement task-specific method statements, tool box talks, and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Interpret construction and schematic drawings, technical literature, and equipment specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply, and drainage systems.
  • Install foundation plumbing, sumps, and other parts of the foundation plumbing, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines, joining pipes using various methods.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, ensuring the integrity of the plumbing system.
  • Manage the installation of bathtubs, shower drains, and finishing trim of fixtures, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Clean workspaces as you go, maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, ensuring the timely remittance of all administrative aspects for all projects.
  • Constructively analyze, assess, and troubleshoot to resolve issues and develop solutions, applying technical, personal, and teamwork skills to get the job done.
  • Mentor junior apprentices, where appropriate, to work more effectively and develop their skills.
  • Participate in ongoing technical and professional training, supported by the company, to continually develop your skills and enhance your development.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of plumbing experience, with a strong background in commercial and multi-unit residential plumbing projects.
  • Plumbing/Gas-fitting Red Seal Ticket, with a strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Level 1 First Aid, with a strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certification, with a strong understanding of hazardous materials handling and safety procedures.
  • Possess personal hand tools for the trade, with Enersolv providing any additional company-related tools.
