Department Head

Gillman Home Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Head to join our team. As a key member of our retail staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing daily store operations, and driving sales growth in our department.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide accurate product knowledge, quality, and excellent customer service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Store Operations: Manage daily store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Sales Growth: Drive sales growth in our department by identifying opportunities to increase sales, implementing effective sales strategies, and providing excellent customer service.
- Team Management: Supervise and train a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and adjust inventory levels, ensuring that products are stocked properly and that inventory is accurately tracked.
- Store Maintenance: Perform routine store maintenance tasks, including cleaning, trash removal, and snow removal.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, sales associates, and management, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 2+ years of customer service experience, 1+ year of retail experience, and 2+ years of product knowledge in assigned department.
- Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
