Job Title: Patient Working Group Coordinator

The Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI) is seeking a highly motivated and organized Patient Working Group Coordinator to join the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network (MOHCCN).

The MOHCCN is a collaborative initiative that brings together top cancer hospitals and research centres to accelerate the implementation of precision medicine for cancer. As a key member of the TFRI team, the Patient Working Group Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the Network's mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate meetings and activities for the Patient Working Group, including preparing agendas, distributing materials, and recording minutes.
  • Assist in the facilitation of outreach programs and other activities driven by the program's overall strategy.
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings, decisions, and action items, and prepare reports and summaries as needed.
  • Coordinate events, workshops, and other activities related to the working group, ensuring all logistical details are managed efficiently.
  • Ensure the working group has the necessary resources by developing any necessary materials and guidelines to carry out its activities effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative or coordination role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with patient groups or in a patient advocacy role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer:
