About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Brickstone Kitchen & Bar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
    • Help to prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
    • Package take-out food and replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Load buspans and trays, and operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
    • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, and polish floors.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service to our customers.
    • Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Will train.
  • Work Environment
    • Urban area.
  • Physical Demands
    • Standing for extended periods.
    • Repetitive tasks.
    • Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) weight handling.
  • Language
    • English.
  • Work Schedule
    • 30 to 40 hours per week.
