About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, including portioning, wrapping, and plating.
    • Ensure that all food is handled and stored safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Ensure that all supplies are properly labeled and stored to prevent contamination and spoilage.
  • Waste Management
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash on a regular basis.
    • Ensure that all waste is disposed of in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • General Duties
    • Perform other duties as required to maintain the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Language
    • English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
