Your Contribution:
The Design Director will be pivotal in shaping Saje's brand across diverse platforms. This role encompasses everything from retail environments to immersive pop-up experiences, visual merchandising, and digital design assets. The individual will play a crucial role in upholding the brand's ethos while innovating beyond conventional boundaries to create memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a dynamic team of designers and retail specialists from concept to execution, bringing the brand vision to fruition across various mediums.
- Utilize your extensive experience to navigate multiple channels, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of best practices in digital, social, retail, and performance design.
- Balance the execution of your own work with the management of design team projects, ensuring timely delivery and prioritization.
- Foster an environment that encourages innovative experience design, aligned with the brand's aesthetic standards.
- Develop and implement a cohesive design system across all assets to streamline workflows.
- Execute ongoing programs and create engaging campaigns in physical retail spaces that captivate audiences and drive conversions through educational and entertaining experiences.
- Build strong cross-departmental relationships to ensure alignment on project requirements and feedback.
- Exhibit urgency and business acumen that reflects the entrepreneurial spirit of the organization.
- Present concepts and designs effectively, gather feedback, build consensus among stakeholders, and secure necessary approvals.
- Ensure high-quality presentation of deliverables, including thorough proofreading.
- Enhance Saje's visual identity through typography, communication, layout, and store design.
- Demonstrate confidence in problem-solving, actively engaging with the creative team and valuing diverse perspectives.
- Collaborate closely with peers in the creative department and across the organization.
- Provide art direction throughout the creative process, from initial briefings to storyboarding, production management, and post-production reviews.
- Stay informed about industry trends, leading creatives, innovations, and the competitive landscape.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in a similar managerial role, either in an agency or brand environment, with a proven ability to present work in inspiring ways.
- Expertise in building brands across various dimensions, utilizing design systems that ensure consistency and drive business outcomes.
- Experience in translating brand platforms into customer experiences, applying design thinking throughout the customer journey.
- Proficiency in multiple design mediums, particularly in digital, social, retail, and content creation.
- Motion design skills are a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively, planning your time and your team's workload efficiently.
- Capacity to work independently while drawing from a broad range of cultural references.
- A solution-oriented, positive leader who is generous with time in mentoring and teaching others.
- While specific category experience is not mandatory, experience in beauty, retail, consumer packaged goods, health, or wellness brands is preferred.
