Fund Administration Team Lead

MUFG Investor Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director, Client Operations, Fund Administration to lead our dedicated team of fund accountants.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fund administration team, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables such as NAV production, financial statements, and associated reports. You will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment while maintaining strong relationships with investment managers, brokers, auditors, and other internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor a team of fund accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and achievement of organizational goals.
- Collaborate closely with investment managers, brokers, and auditors to address operational issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Work in tandem with Investor Operations, finance, regulatory reporting, and banking teams to coordinate efforts and meet all client deliverables within established timelines.
- Participate actively in system improvement projects, both global and local, identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and process optimization.
- Maintain a steadfast commitment to accuracy and quality control, ensuring the integrity of all client deliverables prepared by your team.
- Oversee the audit process, preparing financial statements or reviewing those prepared by other parties, adhering to strict operational controls as outlined in SOC1 guidelines and relevant checklists.
- Ensure timely billing and collection of fees for your assigned team, maintaining accurate records and adhering to established procedures.
- Possess a post-secondary education or university degree with a concentration in finance or accounting.
- Have 4+ years of experience working within the fund administration industry, including at least 2 years in a Private Equity role. This can encompass experience as an administrator, investment manager, or fund auditor.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and possess a comprehensive understanding of the fund administration industry, encompassing various fund structures, fee calculations, financial instruments, and fund offering documentation review.
- Have 1+ year of experience with fund accounting software; familiarity with Investran is an asset.
