Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Specialist to join our team at Leonardo DRS. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of facility-related tasks, including preventive and general building maintenance, carpentry, equipment construction/maintenance, and courier or locksmith duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of facility-related tasks to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work.
  • Install and repair flooring, carpeting, and other finishes.
  • Paint and touch up walls and surfaces as required.
  • Install lighting, artwork, and other fixtures.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow written work instructions and adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Participate in LEAN events, Six S activities, and other initiatives to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Support and communicate the company's mission, values, and culture.
  • Assist management with special projects and assignments as requested.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in maintenance/utility work or a related field.
  • Thorough understanding of general job aspects and moderate understanding of detailed aspects.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building construction trades.
  • Skilled in operating applicable equipment.
  • Ability to lift/carry objects up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
