Plant Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of the Strescon Limited team, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on all facility equipment and systems. This includes troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems, as well as working with outside third-party maintenance companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct equipment inspections as required or as outlined by the preventative maintenance schedule to detect and diagnose issues.
  • Report detailed records of work performed to management.
  • Contribute to plant upgrades and improvements.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on all facility equipment and systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
  • Working with outside third-party maintenance companies.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Strong electrical and PLC experience.
  • 3 to 7 years' experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Valid provincial certification as an Industrial or Construction Electrician would be an asset.
  • Past experience in the maintenance of overhead cranes would be useful.
  • Journeyman Industrial Mechanic/Millwright or equivalent experience would be an asset.
  • Welding tickets would also be considered an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to handle physically demanding work.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work.
