Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Indian Masala Bar & Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining area and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
    • Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods for customer consumption.
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • Inventory and Stock Management
    • Restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
    • Handle and store cleaning products and supplies.
  • Garbage and Waste Management
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Team player with a positive attitude.
    • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
