Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Proposal Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our proposal development team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end bid development process. This includes initiating the preparation of tailored responses and proposals to support the growth of our business internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead collaboration efforts with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and input to incorporate into the bid preparation process.
  • Create and complete procurement-driven submissions that elevate responses to demonstrate our company's products, services, capabilities, and contributions in the industry.
  • Interpret and determine response requirements for proposals by identifying and clarifying objectives set forth by potential clients.
  • Consolidate details and data to produce polished, high-quality professional and compelling proposal responses.
  • Contribute to the proposal creation and execution project plans and oversee the assigned proposal team to ensure responses are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Ensure responses are aligned to our company brand and review proposal against Request for Proposal requirements to ensure completeness.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a field such as Business, Communications, Journalism, or English combined with 5+ years of experience writing formal proposal responses and/or Technical Writing.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, communication, and planning skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage deadlines efficiently, including multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration, encourage creative problem-solving, and navigate conflict.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, including the ability to persuade and motivate others.
  • Experience with proposal development or design software and advanced PowerPoint skills would be a definite asset.
  • Competency to learn the business.
