In the aluminum sector, we concentrate on the development, planning, delivery, and installation of bespoke machinery and complete systems, particularly in the domains of anode plants, rod shops, and crushing facilities, along with a range of associated conveyor and storage solutions essential for the production and management of anodes required by our international clientele in primary aluminum manufacturing.

To enhance our global Sales Team within the Aluminium Division, we are seeking a

SENIOR Sales/Business Development Manager (M/W/D)

In this role, you will engage with both existing and prospective clients in the primary and secondary aluminum smelting sectors, identifying opportunities and advocating for our product offerings and solution capabilities. This position necessitates extensive sales experience at a senior level within an international context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Business Unit and relevant market sectors in developing solutions and offerings.
  • Formulate global order intake, sales strategies, and budgets collaboratively, while monitoring and analyzing the international market landscape and competitive dynamics to devise and execute market strategies.
  • Oversee direct sales efforts to both existing and new clients to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead negotiations from initial engagement through to the finalization of contracts, including the preparation of comprehensive commercial proposals.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and represent the company at industry trade shows.
  • Foster a proactive approach to customer engagement and relationship management.
  • Explore new business development opportunities, including collaborations with other business units and identifying new product and solution avenues.
  • Manage proposal processes and review cost estimations.
  • Support the commercial and legal teams in finalizing terms and conditions for complex contracts.

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical process engineering, or a related field, coupled with practical problem-solving skills in an industrial setting.
  • Extensive experience in process/design engineering and sales within an international framework, ideally within mechanical processes and the primary aluminum sector.
  • Proven track record in business development and success in a dynamic sales environment, with a solid understanding of project management and experience in both capital expenditure and service sectors.
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for advanced and complex technological solutions in engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and drive new business initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Exceptional communication skills (fluent in English) and adeptness in relationship management.
  • Commitment to a performance-driven culture emphasizing shareholder value, integrity, teamwork, and entrepreneurship.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and proficiency in contract finalization.
