Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Technician Setup Specialist to join our team at Silgan Containers. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the installation of tooling into moulding machines, ensuring seamless production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install tooling into moulding machines as per scheduling requirements, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Receive QA part approval upon completion of set-up, verifying that the installation meets quality standards.
  • Clean mould components thoroughly before and after use, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Ensure a complete line clearance procedure is followed, adhering to SOP guidelines.
  • Conduct visual inspections of both in-bound and out-going tooling during the set-up process, identifying any potential issues.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to mould changes, maintaining accurate records.
  • Install automation equipment as required, ensuring smooth operation of moulding machines.
  • Return auxiliary equipment to storage areas, maintaining a well-organized workspace.
  • Participate in mould recovery processes as needed, utilizing idle time effectively.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of moulding machine operations and tooling installation procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring quality and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve production goals.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and bending.
Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of moulding machines. As a Process Technician Setup Specialist, you will be working in a fast-paced production setting, with a focus on meeting production targets and maintaining high-quality standards.
