Job Description: Mold Setup TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mold Setup Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and setup of tooling into molding machines, ensuring efficient and accurate production processes.
Responsibilities:- Install various types of tooling (injection, IBM, ISBM, and extrusion) into molding machines according to scheduled requirements.
- Obtain QA part approval upon completion of the setup process, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by thoroughly cleaning mold components before storage.
- Conduct comprehensive line clearance procedures as per established SOPs before handing over the machine to production personnel.
- Perform meticulous visual inspections of both incoming and outgoing tooling throughout the setup process.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation related to mold changes, ensuring clear and concise record-keeping.
- Install any required automation for running the installed mold and return auxiliary equipment to designated storage areas.
- Ensure the machine and surrounding area are meticulously cleaned before transferring the machine and mold to production.
- Assist in mold recovery processes as needed or during periods of idle time.
