About the Role

Florentina Foods Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and conduct of chemical experiments to ensure the quality of our raw materials and finished products.
  • Compile records for analytical studies, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain quality standards, health and safety measures, and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of chemical engineering processes, including procurement, construction, inspection, and maintenance.
  • Compile and interpret experimental or analytical results to inform quality control decisions.
  • Assist in the design and fabrication of experimental apparatus to support quality control activities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
