As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will participate in the realization of commercial, institutional, public, and industrial building projects, both for new construction and renovation, for a range of clients.

Your Daily Work at Stantec

Within our Quebec team, you will collaborate with the project team in participating in the design and realization of electrical distribution systems, lighting, fire alarm, communication, and other related systems. You will participate in design and studies for building electrical systems in institutional, industrial, commercial, energy, transportation, and healthcare environments.

Specifically, you will be able to:

  • Participate in various design stages (calculations, equipment selection, etc.) of electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems in private/public projects;
  • Participate in technical studies and write documents such as calculation notes, technical estimates, and reports;
  • Assist team members in preparing engineering plans;
  • Develop low and medium voltage distribution networks;
  • Perform AutoCAD and BIM – REVIT modeling and analysis;
  • Conduct existing installation surveys and construction site surveillance.

To make your application stand out, you must:

  • Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering;
  • Have an interest in building electrical systems;
  • Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team;
  • Have obtained the General Construction Site Health and Safety Course Certificate (ASP construction) (an asset);
  • Be fluent in French (oral and written) (an asset).
