About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at en Ville Event Design & Catering. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Management: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to optimize our menu offerings and pricing.
  • Culinary Leadership: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to our cooking staff, and provide guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Menu Development: Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, and develop new menu ideas to meet the evolving tastes and preferences of our clients.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and equipped to meet the demands of our events.
  • Customer Service: Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as needed.
