Business Resilience Manager

At EightSix Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Business Resilience to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the emergency planning team and ensuring the airport meets all regulations and policies applicable to emergency planning and facility life-safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement emergency plans and procedures to ensure the airport's response to all anticipated types of emergencies.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and business partners, including businesses operating on Sea Island.
- Manage and lead emergency planning initiatives and projects, including legislated major training/simulation exercises.
- Ensure legislated document requirements are met, including reviewing and improving upon YVR Operations Directives and Plans.
- Support corporate-wide activities related to the implementation of the Authority's Business Continuity Planning framework.
- Provide support and direction to a dedicated team of employees, including monitoring work efforts and performance, hiring, coaching, motivating, and supporting developmental activities.
- Five years' recent, related progressive experience in a leadership role within an operational environment (emergency planning), supplemented by a bachelor's degree in public safety, public administration, business continuity, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of multi-agency, full-scale emergency exercise and simulation planning and delivery; disaster planning and response.
- Proven sound judgment and decision-making skills to manage operational and emergency situations.
- Demonstrated ability to assess risks and threats according to defined protocols and procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and communication skills, including meeting facilitation and public speaking.
We offer a competitive salary range of $, to $, per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week, and an annual bonus target at 15% of your annual salary.
