Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team as a WIL Administrator. This role will be responsible for arranging and coordinating practicum placements for students in various programs across the Faculty of Health Studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with program areas, students, clinical/practicum sites, and the WIL team to ensure successful student placement.
  • Coordinate and acquire student clinical and practicum placements, utilizing technology and communication records management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, program areas, and practicum sites, and collaborate with other areas as needed.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to execute cyclical operational and coordination activities aligned to FHS programs and WIL external stakeholders' schedules.
  • Support the review and improvement of ongoing processes, and contribute to the development of new processes that facilitate compliance with placement agency planning timelines.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in business, health, or related discipline is required, with equivalencies considered.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, with some experience related to WIL in a post-secondary environment.
  • Strong orientation to detail, interdependent work habits, and the ability to be self-starting, team-oriented, and learner-centered.
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship management skills, proactive problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Digital literacy, with demonstrated technical knowledge of Microsoft Word, PeopleSoft, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
