Seasons Care is seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our dietary services team, you will be responsible for providing support in the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Monitoring of mechanically altered textures to ensure compliance with dietary requirements
- Ensuring production sheets are being followed to maintain high-quality food preparation
- Food orders and inventory management to ensure efficient supply chain
- RAI MDS data entry and management to support resident care
- Responding to FNM referrals and providing timely support
- Maintaining Synergy MealSuite software to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Providing leadership and direction in the dietary department to ensure smooth operations
- Completing other duties as needed to support the team
- Food service experience with a focus on long-term care
- CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Managers) Membership or Member in good standing of the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Proof of COVID vaccine, TB testing, and vulnerable sector police check
- Ability to work independently and self-directed with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of computerized long-term care documentation programs an asset
