About the Role

Mirandas House Support Services is seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring the client's home is tidy and comfortable.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Assist clients with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a non-smoking environment.
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
