Position Overview

The role of a Shipping and Receiving Clerk is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and inventory management processes. This position involves various responsibilities that contribute to the efficient handling of goods within our warehouse environment.

Educational Requirements
  • No formal education, degree, or diploma is required.
Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse setting, where you will be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and determine the most suitable method for shipping goods.
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation for shipments.
  • Prepare essential shipping documents, including bills of lading and invoices.
  • Inspect incoming shipments and verify them against relevant documentation.
  • Maintain an organized internal record-keeping system.
  • Document any shortages and manage the rejection of damaged items.
  • Direct goods to their designated storage locations.
  • Pack items securely for shipping.
  • Unpack and organize received goods.
  • Label shipments with necessary identification and shipping instructions.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in using inventory control software.
  • Familiarity with MS Outlook for communication and scheduling.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to handle heavy loads, up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • This role is physically demanding.

Screening Criteria
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
