Logistics Coordinator Overview

CB Canada is currently in search of a skilled transportation and logistics specialist to enhance our operational efficiency.

This role reports directly to the administrative director and involves the strategic planning and organization of international shipments, ensuring timely collection of units from various manufacturers across the United States, and executing local deliveries to clients and storage facilities on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor special shipments to both Canada and the United States.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather all essential information and directives.
  • Ensure that the credit department approves orders for dispatch.
  • Oversee tracking of shipments and receipt of merchandise at warehouses.
  • Liaise with customs brokers to monitor container arrivals from international locations.
  • Investigate shipping carriers for optimal pricing and arrange pickups through brokers.
  • Process claims for any damages incurred during transportation.
  • Review and confirm invoices, while negotiating shipping rates.
Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
  • Degree or diploma in logistics or a related field.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with the construction sector.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and proactive problem-solving abilities.
