Global Director of Tooling Operations

Position Overview: The Global Director of Tooling Operations is tasked with the leadership and enhancement of performance across our worldwide tooling sectors to address a variety of customer requirements. There are substantial opportunities in critical areas, including optimizing the efficiency of our sectors through better coordination and refining our operations with an automotive production perspective that involves deconstructing, standardizing, and quantifying every element of our production workflow. Additionally, we are dedicated to propelling our ongoing digital transformation efforts, seamlessly incorporating innovative technologies throughout all aspects of our operations to streamline workflows, boost efficiency, and improve data-driven decision-making.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Performance Optimization: Spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing performance across all sectors, ensuring effective coordination and synergy in operations to meet diverse customer demands.
  2. Leadership in Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of relentless improvement, consistently aiming for operational excellence and efficiency in every aspect of the production workflow, including the streamlining of mold design and manufacturing processes.
  3. Integration of Advanced Technologies: Champion the adoption and integration of cutting-edge digital technologies and automation across all tooling sectors to improve process efficiency, enhance precision, and cultivate a data-driven culture. This includes the implementation of IoT and other solutions to optimize production workflows and predictive maintenance strategies.
  4. Management of Business Performance and KPIs: Restructure and oversee key performance indicators, utilizing data to guide strategic decisions and operational enhancements. This involves ensuring the availability of appropriate systems, data, and applications to act on the KPIs and insights.
  5. Financial Oversight: Supervise financial responsibilities, including budgeting and profit & loss management, for all tooling sectors.
  6. Expansion and Integration Management: Oversee the acquisition and integration of additional tooling sectors, ensuring alignment with the company's operational standards and strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in tool and mold manufacturing, particularly within the automotive mass production sector.
  • Proven track record in managing and scaling manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational management, KPI oversight, and process improvement.
