Position Overview: The Global Director of Tooling Operations plays a pivotal role in enhancing and optimizing the performance of our worldwide tooling sectors to cater to a variety of client requirements. We recognize substantial potential in several critical areas, particularly in improving the efficiency of our divisions through better coordination and refining our operations with an automotive production perspective that involves deconstructing, standardizing, and quantifying every aspect of our manufacturing processes. Additionally, we are dedicated to progressing our ongoing digitization initiatives, seamlessly incorporating cutting-edge technologies throughout our operations to streamline workflows, boost efficiency, and promote data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Performance Optimization: Spearhead efforts to enhance performance across all divisions, ensuring optimal coordination and synergy in operations to effectively meet diverse client needs.
  2. Leadership in Continuous Improvement: Champion a philosophy focused on relentless enhancement, consistently pursuing operational excellence and efficiency in every facet of the manufacturing process, including the streamlining of mold design and production.
  3. Integration of Advanced Technologies: Propel the adoption and integration of state-of-the-art digital technologies and automation across all tooling divisions to improve process efficiency, enhance precision, and cultivate a data-driven culture. This encompasses the implementation of IoT and other solutions to optimize production workflows and predictive maintenance strategies.
  4. Management of Business Performance and KPIs: Restructure, monitor, and manage key performance indicators, leveraging data to guide strategic decisions and operational enhancements. This includes ensuring the presence of appropriate systems, data, and applications to act on KPIs and insights.
  5. Financial Oversight: Supervise financial elements, including budgeting and profit & loss management, for all tooling divisions.
  6. Expansion and Integration Management: Oversee the acquisition and integration of additional tooling divisions, aligning them with the company's operational standards and strategic objectives.

Required Competencies:

  • Outstanding analytical capabilities, with a talent for dissecting complex challenges using a first-principles approach.
