About the Role

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual individual to join our team as a Bilingual Legal Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to provide administrative support to the Finance, Legal, Education, and Investigation areas of the Commission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide reception and administrative support to various departments, including processing capital raising exemption reports, statistics, and archiving.
  • Offer exceptional client service to the public and stakeholders, ensuring a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records, databases, and documentation, utilizing Microsoft Office software.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with departmental staff, stakeholders, and the public, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
  • Experience in providing administrative support, preferably in a legal or financial environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of database management and record-keeping principles.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
