Job Title: Profile & Client Development Specialist

About the Role:

Dentons Canada is seeking a highly skilled Profile & Client Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will play a critical role in expanding current and new client relationships, driving revenue through the development of short and long-term business development plans and strategies, and inspiring lawyers to focus on profile and client development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual business plans and execute business plan initiatives with assigned Practice/Industry groups.
  • Identify opportunities to promote the practice, increasing its visibility and positioning in the market.
  • Draft targeted, strategic submissions for practice-related rankings, surveys, and awards.
  • Prepare client reports to deepen existing client relationships, expand the client base, and increase external and internal visibility.
  • Work with the Events team to ensure the successful preparation and delivery of high-quality events.
  • Collaborate with the Proposals team to develop customized responses to pitches, RFPs, and other marketing collateral.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to understand the business objectives and key clients of assigned practice and sector groups.
  • Participate in practice and sector group meetings, including preparing agendas and contributing to special initiatives and projects.
  • Coordinate deal collection efforts and contribute to the maintenance of the deal tracking system.
  • Support the enhancement of client lists, working cross-functionally with the CRM team.
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of annual business development budgets.
  • Work with related marketing teams to ensure up-to-date collateral and expand social media engagement.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in client development, sales, marketing, event planning, or a similar role.
  • Ability to handle an extensive workload with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional maturity, including strong interpersonal skills, tact, and discretion.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to complete designated tasks in a systematic and logical way, with great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS-Office (MS Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Forms).
  • Familiarity with production software an asset (Sitecore, Google Analytics).
  • Experience using InterAction or other CRM tools a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
