Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically demanding Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at Concept Plastics Limited. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our premises.

Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies to maintain a safe and organized workspace
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure independence and self-motivation
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to maintain a safe and accessible environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and move equipment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, and reliability
