Heavy Duty Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Waste Connections of Canada Inc. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of garbage trucks in a safe working order.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, brake, and engine issues
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all vehicles meet provincial regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
  • 310T license (mandatory)
  • 3-4 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment tests
  • Commercial Driving License is an asset
What We Offer:
  • Competitive pay rate: $45/hr plus $1.50/hr shift premium
  • Full-time position with benefits
  • Monday to Thursday 3pm-11pm, Fridays 3pm-7pm schedule
