Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Vantage Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to children and youth in our care.

Job Summary:

The Child and Youth Worker will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for children and youth, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This includes developing and implementing individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each child or youth, as well as providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to children and youth in our care
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each child or youth
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for children and youth
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children and youth
  • Document and report on the progress and well-being of children and youth
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, child and youth care)
  • Experience working with children and youth in a group home or similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
