Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Vantage Community Services Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of children and youth in our care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to children and youth in a group home setting. This will include implementing life skills workshops, providing administrative and office activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of the clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement life skills workshops to support the development of children and youth
  • Provide administrative and office activities to support the smooth operation of the group home
  • Ensure the overall well-being of the clients, including providing food preparation, housekeeping activities, and crisis intervention
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers involved with clients
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
Requirements:
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
  • Mental health first aid Certificate
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • Cultural Awareness Training
  • Medication Administration Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and will be required to work independently and as part of a team. A valid driver's licence is required.
