Pharmacist (Part-time) - Patient Care Specialist

Job Summary:

Safeway is seeking a skilled Pharmacist (Part-time) to join our pharmacy team. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional patient care: Demonstrate warmth, empathy, and compassion while acting in the patient's best interest to achieve excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, workflow efficiencies, and professional clinical services.
  • Provide patient education: Offer patient counselling and education for new therapy to patients/caregivers while tailoring to the needs and concerns of the patient.
  • Initiate care plans: Develop and implement care plans, follow up, and complete proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues: Participate in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues to provide excellence in health & wellness services to all patients.
  • Ensure seamless care: Actively engage in all areas of Fusion to ensure patients experience seamless care and a consistent pharmacy experience across locations.
  • Prescription safety: Ensure prescription safety prioritizing technical functions to Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants as required.
  • Corporate pharmacy services: Thoroughly understand all relevant corporate pharmacy service offerings/programs and provide each customer/patient with the program that meets their health care needs.
  • Regulatory compliance: Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and industry trends/developments; attend training as required.
  • Adhere to policies: Adhere to all regulatory requirements, Company policies, processes, and procedures (e.g., OHS, Loss Prevention, CQI).

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Licensure: Must be a Licensed Pharmacist, in good standing, in the province of responsibility.
  • Certifications: Injection and First Aid Certification.
  • Software experience: Kroll software experience is preferred.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $51.58 - $57.20. We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience, and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
